Biography
Ella Rawls is an Attorney at Ayala Law Office with a focus on appeals before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Board of Immigration Appeals. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish Literature from Arizona State University West Campus in 2009. She went from the southern border to the northern border in August 2012 to attend the University of North Dakota School of Law, in Grand Forks. During Law School she participated in the inaugural Immigration Law Clinic, and interned at Ayuda in Fairfax, Virginia, as well as Swanson Immigration Law in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Ella returned to her native Arizona in late 2015 and from 2016 – 2017 collaborated with fellow United Methodist church members to form Arizona Justice For Our Neighbors, in Tucson, Arizona. Ella served as the nonprofit’s first solo attorney from January 2018 through April 2024.
Ella has a passion for working with clients from underserved populations and believes that every human being is inherently equal, and all people deserve a zealous advocate by their side during their immigration process. Ella is fluent in Spanish and will one day get around to her lifelong goal of learning Arabic.
